My Gold filled jewelry is made with 8 layers of finishing in 18Kt Gold. Each item is manufactured to the highest quality specifications and made to exceed the expectations of our customers.

Gold plated is more so like what you would find at forever 21 or H&M where in most cases there is little to no gold at all and have nickel which causes discoloration of the skin,
My gold filled sets are based with jewelers brass and have 8 layers of 40% 18k gold on top.
The color will not tarnish for a long time even with contact of liquids, perfumes and lotions :] but I always recommend for anything that is not solid gold to keep away from liquids, perfumes and lotions
